First Day Stroll

We can’t believe it, we’re in Japan!

This place is just how we imagined it. Streets full of bikes, sidewalks full of people, stores all over the place. We see advertisements for products that use anime as artwork. We want to go into every single cafe we pass by. This place is ridiculous.

I see so much anime (ecchi-like) material around. I’m having a stroke as the video below will showcase. I never imagined this city would use so much pop culture/anime in the public. America would never use dragonball z to sell a burger or something of the sorts. Everywhere we look we see something that we’d never fathom would be so accessible. If I want to walk into a shop and buy an anime figure, I can. This was exhilarating!

As time passed, we had 2 hours in this moment, we broke up as “buddy groups” to explore as we seen fit. I went to the most attractive (ecchi-like) shops I could find. Me and few others took notes, “This is here” and “This item is this much money”. As per trips that go abroad, you’ll buy things you like towards the end mostly. Otherwise, you have to carry them around. The pain of resisting the urge to buy something I’ve only ever seen on a Japanese website was miserable. Anyways, we all got a great feel for how this shopping district was laid out (Akihabara) and we (half the group?) pledged to come back as much as we could.

As some adventures go, we all say stupid things sometimes. I mention this because any vlog video that comes out on this blog with only background music is for good reason. Not only is my mouth saying only things because I’m in the moment, but they aren’t deemed as repeatable in my eyes.  Just cringy and awkward.
