We ride the subway/ちかてつ to get there. These metro-like things are pretty neat. I start filming and truly open my eyes to this land I’ve only ever see on TV. Amazing. Breathtaking. I’m only seeing rice fields and Japanese billboards at this point. Still amazing.
We reach the neck of the woods we need to be in. Let’s get to the hostel!
Some of our luggage is really heavy. Why did some people pack so much? Anyways, we get off the train and explore the station. I wish I recorded more of this transition.
The station is big, we transfer to a another subway to get us even closer to the hostel. This time we are packed in like sardines for the first of many to come. Cramped. This subway has us transfer another time! Some of the group use other methods to get their luggage to the surface and vise versa. We board the next subway. The subway has arrived at the station and we’re in the neighborhood! The luggage is heavy at this point. There is no other option but to carry the luggage up the stairs (not escalators).
After a long-ish walk, we arrive at the Sakura Hostel.
