But let me tell you, this little pick me up was the holy grail to exploring Japan. I wasn’t to sure if there were anything like energy drinks in Japan, and I was mostly right. They are selective. They are scarce.

Little to my surprise, the super market (こんびに) down the street kept Monsters in stock every damn day I went in there. Yaataa! This was fantastic!

I was also lucky with some of the vending machines around town!

I would drink almost one a day while I was in the country to wake myself up. It works, why knock it? We’re going on a long ass walk to a palace? Easy. Need to stay awake for long trip via JR? Done.

Overall, a great experience for an addicted drinker.
